2023-2024 LeGrande Assessment Result

Welcome back for an exciting year! We are more than ready to begin this journey with each and every one of our students, families, teachers, and staff. We can’t wait to begin a new year with our LeGrande Family. Our teachers and faculty have been busy this summer making sure our school is at its best. I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank our custodians Mr. Kenny Bratcher and Mr. Isaac Hensley for their hard work preparing our school amid a summer of construction, which will continue throughout the fall semester. Please pardon our dust, as improvements on our school continue. We hope to be moved into our new cafeteria within the first few weeks of school, which will then be followed by improvements and changes to our existing cafeteria and kitchen, giving us more classroom and office space by the spring semester. We appreciate your patience while changes continue to occur and our beautiful school building gets even better. 

Our theme for this school year is “Reach For the Stars” with a space theme as our decor. With each year, it is our goal to continue to improve and become better, individually and as a team. We hope that all students at LeGrande feel that the stars are within their reach. This summer, teachers have engaged in multiple opportunities for professional learning and we are confident that student learning will be at an all time high. 

There have been some changes to the staff of the school so please welcome all new members to the LeGrande family and be sure to introduce yourself when you see them. It is always exciting to welcome new members to our LeGrande Family and see what they accomplish toward our mission of meeting the needs of each individual student in an environment where they are safe and loved. The support and encouragement we receive from parents and community members make this mission possible, and we look forward to working together with you this school year. We welcome Mrs. Marlie Gibbons to our third and fourth grade team, Mrs. Megan McKinney to our fifth grade team, Mrs. Brianna Riffle and Mrs. Jill Edwards to our special education team, and Mrs. Delaney Taylor as a new kindergarten instructional assistant.

LeGrande SBDM Meets every second Tuesday of the month, at 4pm, unless otherwise noted. All agendas, including special called meetings, are posted in the front foyer of the school 24 hours prior to the meeting.
