4-H Enrollment
Dear Families,

Western Kentucky University is offering upcoming fall enrichment programs and above-level testing opportunities for high-ability and high-interest students. Below are the key details for both programs.

WKU Super Saturdays (Grades 1–6)

Super Saturdays is a three-week enrichment program where students explore specialized areas—including science, math, art, history, writing, music, and performance—through hands-on learning alongside enthusiastic peers.

Program Dates: October 17, 24, and 31

Registration Opens: Tuesday, September 8 at 5:00 p.m. CT

Cost: $120 (Financial assistance is available)

Registration Note: Courses fill on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration is recommended.

TIP-KY Above-Level Testing (Grades 4–8)

The Talent Identification Program of Kentucky (TIP-KY) offers above-level testing to help educators and families uncover the true academic potential of high-ability students. Traditional grade-level tests can create a "ceiling effect," whereas above-level testing provides a clearer picture of advanced readiness.

Grades 4–6: Eligible students take the Iowa Assessments designed two grade levels above their current grade. Testing can be administered at preferred school locations.

Grades 7–8: Eligible students take the ACT (the same assessment used for college-bound high schoolers).

Eligibility: Open to both Kentucky residents and out-of-state students.

How to Learn More

To review course options, register for Super Saturdays, or access testing dates and eligibility criteria for TIP-KY, please visit the WKU Center for Gifted Studies website or contact your school's gifted and talented coordinator.

Ticket Passes for 2026-2027

Dear Raider Families,

As we prepare for another exciting year of athletics, we want to thank you for your ongoing support of our student-athletes, coaches, and programs.

Due to the rising operational costs of hosting athletic events, general single-game admission prices for the 2026–2027 school year will increase by $1, making regular single-game tickets $8 per person.

However, thanks to the immense generosity of our athletic donors and community partners, we are thrilled to announce several new opportunities to keep our games accessible and affordable for families and students:

🎓 Student Admission Guidelines
High School Students: FREE admission to all home regular-season games, courtesy of our generous athletic donors! (Excludes post-season play and tournament games.)

Middle School Students (Grades 6–8): Can purchase the new $30 Raider Spirit Card. This card grants entry to all home high school regular-season athletic events.
Please note: The Raider Spirit Card is valid for the 2026–2027 school year only, excludes post-season/tournaments, and requires the student to be accompanied and supervised by a paying adult.
These Raider Spirit Cards will be sold at all middle schools.
These cards are not for middle school athletic events.

Elementary Students (Grades 5 & Below): FREE admission to all regular-season home games.

🎟️ Season Passes (Best Value for Families)
If you plan on attending multiple events throughout the year, our annual athletic passes offer significant savings. Passes are valid for all regular-season home high school athletic events:
Family Pass: $200 (Valid for up to 4 family members)
Individual Pass: $80
Passes WILL NOT be sold at the gate.
Passes must be purchased at least 24 hours in advance in order for them to be printed and picked up at the next home game. No passes will be issued any earlier than Monday, August 24. Details on how and where to purchase passes will be sent out early next week.

We deeply appreciate your understanding as we navigate increased event costs, and we are incredibly grateful to our donors who made free high school student entry possible.

We look forward to seeing our stands filled with Raider pride this season! Passes can be purchased at Eventlink.

Finally, we are glad to share that tickets for home games can be purchased at the gate using your debit or credit card (credit cards will be charged a 3% fee).

Go Raiders!

There was extra magic in the air this week as a very special visitor fluttered through our primary hallway—none other than the Tooth Fairy! ✨ With sparkling wings and a pocket full of surprises, she stopped by to celebrate students who have been taking great care of their growing smiles. She reminded everyone how important it is to brush, floss, and keep those teeth shining bright. Students were all smiles as they listened to stories from our tooth friend and shared their own tooth-losing adventures. It was a fun and memorable visit that left a little extra sparkle (and lots of excitement) in our school! 🦷💫
