🥇♟️🏆 FIRST PLACE!! 🏆♟️🥇 LeGrande won first place at the monthly Hart Co. chess match for elementary schools last Thursday, with four players remaining undefeated! Members include Lilly, Xavier, Kaleb, Dylan, Jasper, Bentley, Camden, Callie and Hunter. Way to go, Cardinal Chess Team!! We are so proud of your hard work and dedication!

Our cafeteria staff will serve a delicious Thanksgiving meal for students and staff on Thursday, November 20th.

What an “udderly” fantastic day we had as the Southland Dairy Farmers brought their Mobile Dairy Classroom to school. It is an educational program that brings a live dairy cow and a milking parlor to schools to teach students about dairy farming, nutrition, and where milk comes from. Did you know one 8-ounce serving of milk provides 50 percent of the recommended daily value of B12, 25 percent of calcium and 16 percent of protein! 🐄

LeGrande Title 1 & LeGrande Library are excited to present our Disguise a Turkey Family Project! Papers will be coming home today with students in Preschool to 2nd grade. Students in 3rd-8th should see Mrs. Atkins during library for a paper. All LeGrande families are invited to participate but this activity is optional. Prizes will be awarded! Can’t wait to see what our awesome families come up with!

LeGrande Fall Festival is this Friday, and the games committee is in need of adult volunteers to help run games. Please contact Ms. Megan if you're willing to help!

Howdy, partner! Wednesday was Day 3 of Red Ribbon Week, and Cardinal country was full of cowboy hats, boots and flannel shirts today. Yippee to staying drug free!

Day 2 of Red Ribbon Week was Crazy Hair Day - and wow, did we see some crazy, fun and creative looks?!?!

Picture Proofs will be coming home today with students. All ordering will take place online and orders should be placed by November 9th. All information needed to order is included on your child's proof.

We had a great visit from Horse Cave Volunteer Fire Department today! Students learned all about the fire trucks and what it’s like to pursue a career as a firefighter.
